Just re-watched this masterpiece of cinema. The story winds slowly but the plot thickens imperceptibly until you’re at the edge of your seat. There are no histrionics no dramatic background score to artificially heighten the story. It is just the unfolding of a human experience… innocuous and unassuming but grippingly captivating. And the performances of Irrfan Khan Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Nimrat Kaur were par excellence. Irrfan stands as a grand monument to the craft of acting.
