Ikkis is the true story of 21-year-old Second Lieutenant Arun Khetarpal, India's youngest PVC recipient, who was martyred in the Battle of Basantar in the 1971 Indo-Pak War. Subverting loud jingoism, the film focuses on quiet introspection, exploring the friction between a boy's dreams and his duty. It reminds us that war isn't about tactical victories, but the tragic human cost of a generation lost.
